Week Commencing: Sat 27/01/2024
Another 8 keen anglers came through the gate this Saturday and was buzzing to spend the week at the big G. we’ve had a bad start to the year on the fishing front and with just very little being caught and the fish behaving very scares spending a lot of time out in the central zone the new group still gave there all and battled on.
Wez Rowley bagged ball 2 in the draw and got his 1stchoice swim Co’s Point. This was wez’s 6th trip to G and knowing in the winter months they love it out in the central area he started the week fishing the old tits at 31 wraps. Yet again it was 3 days before the fish started to show their faces and signs of them being really active got better as the mornings went by. Wez did end the week with 2 fish to 22lb and of course 2 Grains of SSM Maize on IQ-D Rig tipped with 2 Fake Maggots. Wez used mainly Sweetcorn with just a kg of Cell crumbed into the mix finished of with Smart Liquid.
That’s another tricky week over and we have the work party to look forward to next week, with the full lake being raked hopefully this will get them moving around a lot more,
