Week Commencing: Sat 29/11/2025
Harder Than The Moon!
This week marked the last week on the calendar of 12 anglers, it was probably the hardest week we’ve had since February, hard frost at the start of the week and after that not much followed apart from flat calm days and a bit of cloud, not helping to the already tricky fishing. But although the fishing was hard it was still a great atmosphere around both lakes, all anglers still treated it as a holiday and of course “A hard days fishing
Only two Anglers managed to catch a fish each, one came to Jamie Hallett in Oblivion a nice 40lb mirror named Strap On Sally. Jamie caught this fish on the very first night, fishing a solid bag at 25 wraps towards Bob’s Beach, the bag was fished on a spot as a single with no bait around it and then Jim Radford in Pole Position also managed one on the first night. A fish known as Papa Ghanoush at 30lb 8oz, again this was also caught on a solid bag but this time at 28 wraps towards the right hand side of Stink, Jim did apply a small amount of bait but only talking a dozen spombs or so made up of hemp and boilie.
And that was it for this week, two fish caught on the first night then the rest of the week a painful blank, next week brings hope though, with wind picking up as well as temperatures, 15 degrees in the day and 9 degrees at night. That I'm sure will turn the carp back on! (Fingers Crossed)
